A new state bill #H4750 is now awaiting signature from Gov. Maura Healey that will replace birth certificate documents from “mother,” to “person who gave birth.” The word “father,”will be replaced with “other parent.” Additionally, the words “man” and “woman” will be exchanged with term “persons.” The words “paternity” will be replaced with “parentage” and “his,” in reference to the father, will be replaced with “their.”
The Biden Administration also was in support of a similar law that would replace language in Title IX protections, by removing terms “sex child” to “gender identity.”

Non citizens count as eligible students for free community college as long as the student attends at least on "a half-time basis, and that students at schools with varying in-state and out-of-state tuition rates are covered under the definition if they "would qualify for such in-state or in-district resident tuition at such community college, but for the immigration status of such student." Republicans repudiated this proposed section citing, "Illegal immigrants skipped the line and broke our laws — they should not be rewarded with free tuition," Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., told Fox News in an email. "But Democrats want to use your tax money to pay for them to go to college." After the Jury deliberated for 10.5 hours, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, 45, was charged and found GUILTY for second and third-degree murder, and manslaughter for the death of George Perry Floyd Jr. who died during an arrest in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020.
Prosecutors argue that George Floyd died because Chauvin’s knee was pressed into Floyd’s neck or neck area for 9 1/2 minutes.

The 12-person jury charged with reaching unanimous verdicts on each count has six people who are white, four who are Black and two who are multiracial. Two are in their 20s, three in their 30s, three in their 40s, three in their 50s and one in their 60s.
Second-degree murder requires prosecutors to prove Chauvin intended to harm Floyd.
Third-degree murder requires proof that Chauvin's actions were "eminently dangerous" and done with indifference to loss of life.
Second-degree manslaughter requires jurors to believe that he caused Floyd's death through negligence and consciously took the chance of causing severe injury or death.
